Just some random ideas to help you and your family keep your weight down:
*When you go out to a restaurant to eat, ask for a doggie bag before eating your meal. Place 1/3 of your meal in the doggy bag then enjoy the rest of the meal. You will have cut down on portion size and provided yourself a meal for another day.
*Stick to a regular schedule for meals and snacks. If kids know that they can have a snack after school and that dinner will be served at 5:30 or 6:00 they will be less likely to snack all the way up until dinner. Adults need to stick to the schedule as well.
*Declare the kitchen closed after 8:00 p.m. Late night snacking can cause weight gain.
*Make sure everyone gets an appropriate amount of sleep each night. Studies have shown that those who don’t get enough sleep also weigh more.
*Drink water throughout the day. Water can help fill you up and curb those snacking urges.
